Oak Ridge National Laboratory and the University of Tennessee Research Foundation presented the fifth annual Spark! technology forum that featured exciting new technologies available for licensing. Spark! is a series of venture-like pitches introducing technologies developed at Oak Ridge National Laboratory and The University of Tennessee. Entrepreneurs, investors, industry experts and economic development leaders were welcomed to explore partnering opportunities. The conference allowed potential licensees to meet inventors and learn about some of UT’s and ORNL’s most promising technologies and capabilities. To learn more about the new technologies that were presented, or to explore more commercial opportunities, please contact UTRF or Oak Ridge National Laboratory.

UT Technologies featured at Spark! 2015:

  • Dr. Craig Canaday: Novel Supplement to Seed Coatings to Increase Yield
  • Dr. Ziling Xue: Simple Optical Sensor for Biodiesel Contaminant in Jet Fuel
  • Dr. Howard Hall and Dr. Steve Skutnik: Portable Radiation Detector
  • Dr. Howard Hall: Gas-Phase Thermochromatographic Separation of Rare Earth Elements
