Dr. Maha Krishnamurthy is Assistant Vice President of Licensing in the Knoxville office, where she is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities related to licensing. She joined UTRF as a Licensing Associate in 2011 and has led several revenue generating license agreements and assisted UT with negotiating IP provisions in sponsored research agreements. She has helped launch several startup companies based on UT’s intellectual property.
Prior to joining UTRF in 2011, Maha spent time at Oak Ridge National Laboratory as an intellectual property commercialization, licensing and maturation consultant and assisted with managing the privately funded technology transfer program. She holds a Ph.D. in physics from Colorado State University, an MBA from the University of Tennessee and did post-doctoral research work at the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory in Menlo Park.
