UTRF Commercialization Analyst Internship Program
The University of Tennessee Research Foundation Internship Program provides graduate students the opportunity to assist our licensing professionals in commercializing UT inventions. Commercialization Analysts assist in the evaluation, marketing and licensing of cutting-edge technology developed at the University.
The intensive training program provided by UTRF to successful applicants will assist them in developing an understanding of intellectual property law, market and industry analysis, and licensing methods and techniques.

Graduate Student Intern Positions
- 3 total paid positions for Grad Student, Law Student, MBA or Other
*Candidates Must Be U.S. Citizens Or Permanent U.S. Residents.
Commitment
- 35 hr/wk in Summer 2015
- 10 hr/wk in Fall 2015 and Spring 2016 semesters
Skill Set
- Communication skills
- Advanced internet research capabilities
- Business knowledge of intellectual property rights and protection methods
- Commercialization, industry knowledge and marketing skills
- Analytical skills – ability to learn technologies quickly
- Background in Life Science, Engineering, Computer Science or Physical Science preferred
Responsibilities
