Event Details

Are you a researcher who is involved in technology transfer at UTHSC or would like to be involved?  Research tools provide an easy way for you to participate in tech transfer.  Research tools are scientific resources that you use in your lab daily such as cell lines, monoclonal antibodies, reagents, plasmids, animal models, drug targets, DNA sequences, and small molecules. If you have research tools that you use in your research and you think that they may benefit others in the scientific community, please tell us about them and join us for a special presentation by Ximbio, a company that makes research reagents widely and easily available for life science research. They partner with universities and research institutions to help make your research tools available to the global scientific research community. They will tell us how we can partner with them so that they can make UTHSC research tools available to other researchers through a commercial license.

Also, their Ximbassador program is a paid internship for graduate students and postdocs currently on campus to engage with laboratories on campus and uncover new reagents and materials of interest to other scientists. This position would be ideal for a postdoc, PhD, or graduate life scientist (e.g. in immunology, virology, biochemistry, cell biology, and molecular biology) looking to gain experience in alternative careers in science.

If you think you have some of these valuable resources in your lab or if you are a graduate student or postdoc interested in an internship, please join us for this special presentation.

Lunch will be provided.
