The National Science Foundation (NSF)’s SBIR/STTR program, also known as America’s Seed Fund, supports the research and development of deep technologies based on discoveries in fundamental science and engineering. NSF focuses on high-risk, high-impact technologies – those that show promise but whose success hasn’t yet been validated – and awards $200 million in funding to entrepreneurs across the country each year.
