About the speaker:

As the President of Children’s GMP LLC and Vice   President   of   Therapeutics   Production   and   Quality   at   St.   Jude Children’s   Research   Hospital since 2011, Dr. Meagher’s main focus has been bioprocess and analytical research, development, scale up and cGMP manufacturing of therapeutics like cellular and gene therapy products, live virus vaccines, monoclonal antibodies and recombinant proteins. A PhD in Chemical Engineering from Iowa State University, Dr. Meagher started his career at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where he spent 22 years building, from the ground up, the institution’s Biological Process Development Facility (BPDF), which included cGMP facility dedicated to producing   recombinant biotherapeutics for Phase I and II clinical trials. Prior to joining St. Jude, he spent most of the last 15 years working with the Department of Defense on process research, development and scale-up to produce vaccines against bioterrorism agents, such as botulism, ricin and anthrax.
