A New More Efficient Method for Applying Agricultural Fluids

About:

In seed specific applications of agricultural fluids such as pesticides, fertilizers, and inoculums, fluids are traditionally dispensed using a constant flow. This method of fluid application can be extremely wasteful of expensive agricultural chemicals. University of Tennessee researchers have developed unique systems and methods for dispensing fluids during planting such that the fluids are dispensed only in conjunction with seeds, so fluids are not wasted or over-applied. While this technology was specifically developed for agricultural applications, it can be useful in nearly any application of target specific fluids that can not be synchronized in time or distance.
