NCET2 Commercialization Showcase
The National Council of Entrepreneurial Tech Transfer (www.ncet2.org) has just created a new online showcase specifically for researchers who have technologies that are appropriate for start-up businesses. Researchers enter profiles of themselves and their projects, which can be accessed by grant providers, entrepreneurs, SBIR/STTR, VCs, industry and investors. Periodically, they will choose 10-15 of the profiles for virtual online poster sessions. This is a great opportunity to provide visibility to your projects for organizations who specifically want to work with university-based technologies. UTRF has partnered with Technology 2020, a regional economic development organization in East Tennessee, to offer a program that helps accelerate the growth of start-up technology companies. The Center for Entrepreneurial Growth develops entrepreneurial management teams so that they can handle the challenges of moving start-up ventures to sustainable businesses. This includes navigating the development transitions that all companies face and building the teams and infrastructure necessary to succeed. Through this program, entrepreneurs learn about business model development and execution, developing partnerships, operations, staffing and securing sustainable capitalization.
